bank, They use waterway as a main mean of transport. That's why boats
are more important than motorcycles and bicycle in the rural area.

The
Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam. It is often
referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam as it produces three harvests
per year. The fertile Mekong Delta is also famous for its tropical
fruits and flowers gardens. Cycling is a great way to see the
countryside and life of the locals. This 2 day trip is a combination of
an easy biking tour & Home stay at a local house.
Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Saigon – Ben Tre – Cai Be - Home stay. (L/D) (30-50 km)
Our
guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and transport you for
about 1 1/2 hrs to Ben Tre province. You will start biking from a local
ferry to Cai Be via Cai Mon and Cho Lach Districts. Both of these places
are famous for nurseries, ornamental gardens, and fruit orchards. Stop
en route for lunch at a local restaurant in Cho Lach. After lunch,
continue to ride to An Binh Island. Spend the night in farmer's house..
Day 2: Cai Be – Ho Chi Minh. (B/L) (30-60 km)
Wake
up early, have breakfast before biking 7 km to a boat station where we
will relax for 30 minutes on a boat ride to the Cai Be floating market.
Watch the people from surrounding areas come to exchange goods from boat
to boat on the river. This is one of the oldest floating markets in
Vietnam's Mekong Delta. We disembark and ride to the countryside area of
Cay Lay. Stop for lunch, then transport back to Saigon in the
afternoon. End of tour.
